The third annual St. Olaf Tuba Christmas will take place on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. in the Buntrock Commons "crossroads" located on the St. Olaf College campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

This event attracts tuba and euphonium players from all over southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. This year?s performers will include many from the Twin Cities and Rochester, as well as the immediate area.

Some nearby school districts have made the St. Olaf Tuba Christmas 2001 into a bus trip for their many young musicians. Performing participants must arrive by 12:30 p.m. for registration and rehearsal. This year?s guest conductor is Michael Legvold, a Northfield native and Middle School Band Director in Cannon Falls
