NORTHFIELD, Minn. ? Millions throughout the world will be able to tune in to the world-renowned St. Olaf Christmas Festival concert, a treasured holiday event, thanks to the underwriting support of Lutheran Brotherhood, a Minneapolis-based Fortune 500 company committed to serving Lutherans and the broader community.

The Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) production of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival concert will be broadcast on PBS stations nationwide on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 9 p.m. (CST), with repeat broadcasts on many PBS stations on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 7 a.m. (CST) and Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 8 a.m. (CST) (check local listings).

The radio broadcast of the concert will air live on St. Olaf College?s public radio station, 89.3 WCAL FM, on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3:30 p.m. (CST), Monday, Dec. 24 at 9 a.m. (CST) and Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. (CST). The concert will also air on radio stations across the country (check local program schedules or log onto www.wcal.org for dates and times), and it will be available on the St. Olaf College web site (www.stolaf.edu).

"We are absolutely delighted to be underwriting the broadcast of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival," said Bruce Nicholson, president and CEO of Lutheran Brotherhood. "The St. Olaf experience is truly one of a kind and is reflective of the quality music tradition consistently demonstrated across all Lutheran institutions."

Now in its 90th year, the St. Olaf Christmas Festival has been lauded by The New York Times as "one of the 10 Christmas events in the U.S. not to be missed." Five choral ensembles and the St. Olaf Orchestra ? over 550 student musicians strong ? will perform a rich repertoire of classic Christmas compositions along with familiar carols and hymns from around the world. This year?s festival, "Love Divine, Illumine Our Darkness," features music both traditional and new that addresses the realities of today.

Lutheran Brotherhood is a fraternal benefit society of 1.2 million members joined together for financial security, volunteer service and charitable outreach. The organization helps Lutherans link faith, values and finances in everyday living.

St. Olaf College prepares students to become responsible citizens of the world, fostering development of mind, body and spirit. A four-year, coeducational liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), St. Olaf has a student enrollment of 2,950 and a full-time faculty complement of approximately 300. It is one of Money Guide?s top 100 "elite values in college education today," and it leads the nation?s colleges in percentage of students who study abroad.
