Jazz concerts to be performed on Friday, Nov. 16, Sunday, Nov. 18 at St. Olaf College

St. Olaf College?s Jazz Band classes will perform on Friday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Pause, located in the Buntrock Commons on the St. Olaf campus. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

The Jazz Bands, conducted by music faculty member David Hagedorn, will perform an exciting variety of literature during their two concerts, encompassing a variety of styles. The concert repertoire includes The Kid from Red Bank by Neal Hefti, The Touch of Your Lips by Ray Noble, Groove Merchant by Thad Jones, Shiny Stockings by count Basie, My Romance by Rodgers and Hart, Bluesitis by Jeff Beal, and The Cloud by Rick Cornish.
