Womens Golf Team Plays at Waseca

The St. Olaf women golf team opened their season at the Gustavus Adolphus Invitational Meet. Teams from all over Minnesota and even Nebraska came together to play at Waseca Lake Side Golf Course on September 15th and 16th. The Oles were led by Naomi Schwegler (So., Ablany, Minn.) who shot 170 (combined two day score).
The whole team had to battle 60 degree weather with constant rain the second day. Still, the Oles came in with respectable scores. Jen Moore (Sr. Chaska, Minn.) shot a 171, Abby Sprenger (So., Kiester, Minn.) shot a 197, Johanna Savage (FY., Northoaks, Minn.) shot a 198, Liz Hunt (FY., Moline, Ill.) shot a 207, Lisa Bauer (Sr., Burnsville, Minn.) who played the first day, shot a 103 and Stacia Polzin (FY., Bloomington, Minn.) who played the second day, shot a 95. The team?s combined totals were 363 and 359 giving them a 722 combined wo day total.
The team played well this weekend and we are all looking forward to playing even better at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, September 19 when we challenge Carleton at the Northfield Golf Club. At 9:00 am, Saturday , September 22 we will be playing in a conference meet hosted by Luther College in Decorah Iowa.
