Second of five senior art exhibits starts Sunday at St. Olaf College

NORTHFIELD, Minn. ? Exhibits by six St. Olaf College senior art majors will be featured in the second of five shows in the annual Festival of Senior Work Sunday, April 15, through Thursday, April 19, in Steensland Art Museum.

The show is free and open to the public, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Steensland Art Museum is open Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The second Festival of Senior Work show will feature the art of Kristine Larsen of Chicago, Ill.; Sarah Sexton of Elk River, Minn.; Laurel Sundberg of Corcoran, Minn.; Renee Jones of Northfield, Minn.; Christopher Koza of Portland, Ore.; and Max Windmiller of Stillwater, Minn. Exhibits will include sculpture, photographs, large paintings, figurative oil paintings and piņatas of paper and other materials.

Each Festival of Senior Work exhibit is a culmination of four years of study and creative effort by St. Olaf College art majors and is a requirement for graduation.

The Festival of Senior Work includes five shows ? one per week. Other future show dates are April 22-26, April 29-May 3 and May 6-10.
