Ole Fastpitch Drops Two

The Oles came up short this past weekend, falling to UW-River Falls (5-1, 9-1) and dropping their overall record to 4-12.
Christy Boraas (Sr., Madison, Wis.) led the Oles in the first game of the doubleheader going 3-4 and grabbing two stolen bases; Boraas averages .375 with runners in scoring position. Christina Moses (Sr., New Brighton, Minn.), the Oles' second leading hitter, went 1-3 in the first game and countered in the second going 1-2 with an RBI double. With runners in scoring position, Moses averages .438 at the plate.
The Oles' leading hitter, Kelly Frederick (So., Wayzata, Minn.), is averaging .400 on the season and has done an excellent job behind the plate. Said Lori Littleton Cooling, "We are sticking together as a team, we're just not getting the hits at the right time."
The next home action for the Oles is at 4:00 on Wednesday, April 18 when they take on the College of St. Catherine and then they will travel to the University of St. Thomas for a 1:00 doubleheader on Saturday, April 21.
