Fastpitch Falls to St. Thomas

In Saturday?s MIAC action the Tommies struck early, scoring all of their runs in the first three innings, to take a commanding lead en route to a 6-0 win. St. Thomas (11-1) has a share of the MIAC lead with St. Mary?s University (11-1).

The Oles? Christina Moses (Sr., New Brighton, Minn.) went 2-3 with two singles. Grete Christenson (Jr., Springfield, Va.) gave up 11 hits, struck out one and walked three.

In game two there was no score until the fourth inning, when the Tommies picked up three runs and went on to win 3-0. Meredith Larson (So., Mason City, Iowa) went 1-2 at the plate and Christina Moses and Kelly Frederick (So., Woodland, Minn.) each were1-3. First-year Melissa Ohm (Rochester, Minn.) was on the mound for the Oles, giving up three runs on eight hits and walking three.

St. Olaf (5-15 overall, 1-7 MIAC) will host the College of St. Benedict at 4:00 on Tuesday, April 24.
