Valhalla Band to perform concert Monday, March 5, at St. Olaf College

NORTHFIELD, Minn. ? The Valhalla Band, a St. Olaf College student wind ensemble, will play its final concert of the year on Monday, March 5.
The concert, free and open to the public, will be at 8:15 p.m. in Boe Memorial Chapel.
The concert will feature music by Fillmore, Holst, Vaughan Williams, Ticheli, Hultgren and Robert W. Smith. The band also will premier two new pieces by St. Olaf College seniors Daniel Cavanagh and James Miller.
The Valhalla band was formed in 1997 by a group of St. Olaf students. It is conducted by James Miller, Jayce Ogren, Carissa Koerner and Dave Iverson.
St. Olaf College prepares students to become responsible citizens of the world, fostering development of mind, body and spirit. A four-year, coeducational liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), St. Olaf has a student enrollment of 2,950 and a full-time faculty complement of approximately 300.
