January 8, 2001
Cara Battles (Jr., McGregor, Minn.) helped lead the Oles to their second straight win with her game high 16 points.
St. Olaf jumped out to an early lead in the first eight minutes of the game. The Oles' pressure defense gave the Scots problems throughout the game, causing 22 turnovers and 35% shooting from the field.
"Our defense has stepped it up a notch in the last two games," commented Coach Pat Buresh. " In our last two outings we have controlled the tempo of the game with our defense and it's been effective."
The Oles shot 45% from the field and had balanced scoring, with several players contributing. Cara Battles led all scorers with 16, followed by Lisa Eidenschink (So., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) with 10 points, Lori Enlund (FY, Bloomington, Ill.) nine points and Elisa Hatlevig (Sr., Rushford, Minn.) and Liz Woodrow (Jr., Aitkin, Minn.) each chipped in eight.
