The St. Olaf Nordic ski team competed at the St. Mary?s Invite in Winona, Minnesota. Last year, both the men?s and women?s teams dominated the MIAC ski conference by winning the conference titles at the MIAC championships last February.

The women?s team competed against St. Cloud State University, Gustavus, Carleton College, and St. Mary?s University.

On Saturday, the women competed in a 10 kilometer classical event, and the team won with 42 points. St. Cloud finished second with a team score of 24. On Sunday, the women skied to a win with 42 points to St. Cloud?s 25 in a 10 kilometer skate race. On the men?s side, the Oles gave a similar performance. In Saturday?s 10 kilometer classic race, the men finished on top with 31 points. Their nearest competitor was Carleton College with 26 points. St. Mary?s and Gustavus followed in third and fourth respectively. The men also won in Sunday?s 15 kilometer skate race, scoring 32 points to Carleton?s 18.

The Oles showed that they have the potential to dominate the MIAC conference again this season. The MIAC Championships will be held in Winona, Minnesota on the weekend of February 17th and the Oles will look to recapture their titles.

The Nordic teams will compete at the CCSA Points Race in Minneapolis on January 27-28.
