Lutheran Brotherhood announced its 2000 All-American Volleyball Team. Lutheran Colleges from the Division 1, II, III and NAIA levels nominated players for the team. Six players were named to the first team; another six were second team selections. Thirteen of 40 colleges were represented by either first, second or honorable mention team selections.

Middle hitter Nicole Trnka (Jr., Morristown, Minn.) was named to the second team along with teammate Brie Mattson (So., Anoka, Minn.). Trnka and Mattson led the Oles to a 26-7 overall record and the MIAC Tournament Championship. The Oles went on to post-season play for the seventh time in eight years and they hold a 10-7 all-time play-off record.

Setter Brie Mattson had 1462 assists on the season for an 11.89 average and led the team in service aces with 52. Mattson was also named a MIAC Player of the week. Trnka led the team in kills with 556 for a 4.52 average and an attack percentage of .328. AVCA Sports Imports named Trnka a Division III National Player of the Week.
