"Wax and Burn: Encaustic Art in Minnesota Today" is showing in the museum?s upper gallery, and "Midnight Carnival," the work of Chris Mars, is featured in the lower gallery. Steensland Art Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A new exhibit that uses essays and paintings to explore the world?s religions opens at St. Olaf College?s Steensland Art Museum Saturday, Nov. 17, running through Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Mark McGinnis exhibit, "Designs of Faith," uses essays and paintings to look at a number of the world?s religions.
