Sophomore goaltender Jake Bullard (Bloomington, MN) stopped 25 of 35 shots in a losing effort for St. Olaf. The second game of the series matched the Oles with the Foresters of Lake Forest College. Lake Forest scored a power play goal at 4:44 of the first period and an even strength goal at 15:52 to give the Foresters an early 2-0 lead. Junior Craig Newman (Eagan, MN) scored his third goal of the season at 18:31 of the first period on the power play to cut the lead to 2-1, but the Foresters answered back with an even strength tally with 30 seconds remaining in the period. Lake Forest added a goal early in the second to increase their lead to 4-1, but power play goals by Brian Meyer (Sun Prairie, WI) and Justin Bronce (Eden Prairie, MN) cut the lead to 4-3. Lake Forest would later add a power play goal in the third period to defeat the Oles by a final score of 5-3. First-year goaltender Garret Hasti (St. Louis Park, MN) stopped 27 of 32 shots in his first start of his collegiate career. With the losses, St. Olaf moves to 2-4 overall (2-2 MIAC).
