Women's Basketball Opens MIAC Season With A Win

The Ole women's basketball team held off the Hamline Pipers in the waning seconds of the MIAC opener to come up with a 65-64 win.
Elisa Hatlevig (Sr., Rushford, Minn.) scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead St. Olaf in their first MIAC win. The Oles led by nine at the half and were outscored 40-30 in the second half. St. Olaf dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Pipers 41 - 26. Cara Battles (Jr., McGregor, Minn.) scored 11 points and six rebounds, followed by Carrie Cooley (Jr., Villard, Minn.) with nine points.
The Oles are 3-1 overall (1-0 MIAC) and travel to Gustavus for a 1:00 game on Saturday, Dec. 2.
