St. Olaf recently learned that the Minnesota Historical Society will include mention of F. Melius Christiansen, founder of the St. Olaf Music Department and first conductor of the St. Olaf Band and St. Olaf Choir, as part of the Minnesota Historical Society's upcoming sesquicentennial exhibit called "Minnesota 150." Opening in October 2007, "
Minnesota 150" will showcase 150 people, places, things and events that have shaped Minnesota history.
