Lecture to address Latino identity and language

Buntrock Commons, Viking Theater. 6:30 p.m.

Jorge J.E. Gracia, Samuel P. Capen Chair and SUNY Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, will present a lecture at 6:30 p.m. in Viking Theater about "Hispanic/Latino Identity and Linguistic Labels." Gracia will consider issues surrounding group identity with respect to the labels "Hispanic" and "Latino." The lecture, sponsored by Hispanic studies, the Department of Philosophy, Community Life and Diversity, and Global Citizenship and Liberal Arts lecture series, is open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
