Extreme challenge gives Ole ride of his life.

By Tom Vogel
March 23, 2007

Prompted by buddies who told him that bull riding was a sport he had to try, Erik Fosheim '05, enrolled in Sankey Rodeo Schools, a three-day traveling camp for rodeo hopefuls or those just interested in testing their mettle against the rage of a 1000 pound bull. As he sat atop the bull, Fosheim hesitated before nodding to have the gate opened. The ride, lasting only a few seconds, was "absolutely the wildest thing I have done," Fosheim says. While others at the school considered a career in rodeo, Fosheim brushed off his jeans and prepared to return to school for mid-terms.
