Globalization conference to envision 'another world'

St. Olaf will host its annual Globalization and Social Responsibility conference from Feb. 22 to 24. This year's theme, "Another World Is Possible," will also tie in with the Worldwide Service Fair and a month long United Nations exhibition on creating a culture of peace and nonviolence.
Globalization conference speakers will include: Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer '73, professor of justice and peace studies at the University of St. Thomas; Wing Woo, professor of economics at University of California-Davis; Jeffrey Sachs, a professor from the Earth Institute, Columbia University; Darlyne Bailey, dean of the College of Education, University of Minnesota; David Graeber, Department of Anthropology, Yale University; and Gretchen Handwerger, a Woodrow Wilson Fellow.
