Bells of the Lakes to perform at St. Olaf
February 18, 2007
Boe Memorial Chapel, 4 p.m.
An internationally acclaimed handbell choir from the Twin Cities, Bells of the Lakes, will perform tonight in the newly renovated Boe Chapel.
Bells of the Lakes was founded in 1996 to promote musical excellence through the medium of handbells. It also provides an opportunity for highly skilled English handbell ringers to perform advanced level music. Conductor, William H. Mathis, is a nationally known conductor and arranger of handbell and choral music.
The St. Olaf Handbell choir will join Bells of the Lakes for a combined piece, Antiphonal Flourish, by William A. Payn. The concert is free and open to the public.
