Alumna author interviewed on public radio
February 27, 2007
Emily Rapp '96, recipient of the 2006 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Award, spoke with Minnesota Public Radio's Greta Cunningham recently about growing up with a disability and the myths surrounding the writing process. In the interview Rapp, who visited St. Olaf this February to read from her new memoir Poster Child, describes St. Olaf as a caring environment.
"I was very intellectually stimulated at St. Olaf," she says. "You could do a lot of thinking and there was a real emphasis on the life of the mind."
