Kristin Anderson '06 heads to UAE on Fulbright

"I love the excitement. I love to try new things, to be in new places," Kristin Anderson '06, recipient of a Fulbright grant to study in the Middle East, recently told a Gaithersburg paper. "I want to get a clear image of what Islam is like, separate from the violence and the killing that we often see." Anderson's scholarship brings St. Olaf's 2005-06 Fulbright total to six, and perhaps provides some inspiration to this year's Fulbright hopefuls.
