London-based Choir & Organ magazine has profiled St. Olaf Choir Conductor Anton Armstrong '78 in its January/February 2007 issue. "A unique musical personality, Armstrong is grounded in the world of ordinary folk, with whom he has never lost touch," writes Malcolm Bruno about the man who won the prestigious 2006 Cherry Award. "Although he rejects a paltry, self-centered professionalism, he is equally critical of the increasingly visible commercial worship music that has no inherent value."
