Class of 2006 graduates from St. Olaf

St. Olaf's Class of 2006 joined the ranks of Ole alumni on May 28, as 717 seniors crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. Of those who graduated, 692 earned Bachelor of Arts degrees, 27 earned Bachelor of Music degrees and two students received both degrees.
Biology, English and mathematics were the top majors declared by the class of 2006, which had an average grade point average of 3.34. Of the 445 seniors who graduated with honors, 67 graduated summa cum laude, 155 magna cum laude and 223 cum laude. In addition, four Fulbright Scholars graduated from the Class of 2006: Brennan Decker, Russell Johnson, Rose Keimig and Brendan Mrosak.
Nearly 75 percent of the Class of 2006 -- 536 students -- participated in at least one off-campus domestic or international program. According to statistics from the Chronicle of Higher Education, St. Olaf is ranked 1st out of bachelor-degree institutions in the number of students who study abroad.
