St. Olaf, Carleton profiled in AP story on sustainability

By David Gonnerman '90

Associated Press writer Amy Forliti was tipped off recently about the friendly rivalry that exists between St. Olaf and Carleton colleges, especially when it comes to keeping the campuses environmentally friendly. In addition to the Boston Globe (linked below), the story has appeared in the Star Tribune, the Pioneer Press and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (among other papers).

Forliti quotes Pete Sandberg, assistant vice president for facilities at St. Olaf, on the numerous advantages -- including financial savings -- of such projects as wind turbines: "Then that money frees us up to do what we're really here for -- to teach."
