Article highlights St. Olaf ties to Village on the Cannon

Bruce Roberts, professor emeritus of psychology at St. Olaf, says he's grateful for the feeling of intellectual stimulation that's "in the air" at Village on the Cannon, the new retirement community near downtown Northfield on the banks of the Cannon River. Roberts' wife, Jan, says she's read about what "boomers" want -- "It's everything we have," says the retiree.

Because of numerous residents who are alumni and/or emeriti, along with the myriad cultural diversions offered on campus, St. Olaf fosters close ties with the Village.
