Alumna in several features as her film hits Twin Cities
June 16, 2006
Hollywood producer Andrea Michaud '95, who will be screening her new film, The Almost Guys, at the Lagoon Cinema in Minneapolis this weekend, talks to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press about the challenges of moviemaking. After the headaches of L.A. traffic jams, filming permits, noisy helicopters and even a potential suicide jumper on the set, Michaud and her fiance, Almost Guys writer/director/star Eric Fleming, are looking seriously at filming a follow-up comedy in Minnesota.
In addition to stolaf.edu, Michaud also has been featured recently on Twin Cities' WCCO Channel 4, Minnesota Public Radio and in the Star Tribune. She and Fleming both will give a behind-the-scenes chat about The Almost Guys filmmaking experience at the Lagoon Cinema in Uptown for the 7:20 p m. and 9:45 p.m. shows on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17.
