St. Olaf listed as 'top college' by Golf Digest

The September issue of Golf Digest identified the best colleges for men and women golfers. St. Olaf College was included in the first ever ranking of top colleges, with the women's team ranked 24th in the Academics First category. There are three categories: Golf First -- for those students with pro tour aspirations; Academics First -- for students who want to attend the best school for academics but want an excellent golf experience; Balance -- an equal mix of golf and academics.

Golf Digest's College Rankings were determined in four categories: academics, climate, coach/facilities and golf performance. The academic rating used was the Admissions Selectivity Rating from the Princeton Review's 2006 edition of The Best 361 Colleges. The Academics First category recognizes schools that provide the best education and an opportunity to play competitive golf.
