Bruce Nicholson '68 named chairman of Thrivent

Vice chair of the Board of Regents Bruce Nicholson '68 took over as chairman of the board of Thrivent for Lutherans in August replacing John Gilbert who retired at the end of July. His role as chairman of the board is in addition to his roles as financial president and CEO of Thrivent.

The change is part of a three-year transition from dual CEOs to a single CEO.

"This new structure clusters key related functions to ensure we are working together the very best we can to meet the needs of our membership," Nicholson stated when the transition was originally announced in January. "I'm very proud of this team's dedication and leadership and look forward to continuing our work for the benefit of members."
