Hanson named associate dean of students
June 13, 2005
Dean of Students Greg Kneser has announced that Associate Professor of Religion James Hanson '83 will be the new Associate Dean of Students, serving junior and senior students. Hanson's three-year appointment will begin this fall. Kneser cited the respect Hanson garners from colleagues and students, along with his involvement in drafting policies to address sexual assault within the St. Olaf community, as reasons for the appointment. Hanson will replace Steve McKelvey, Associate Professor of Mathematics, who served for four years.
