Norwegian nurses study at St. Olaf
June 17, 2005
The St. Olaf nursing department is hosting 10 Norwegian nursing students and one teacher for a four-week course, "Health Care in America." The group is studying with Rita Glazebrook, professor of Nursing and department chair, from June 13 to July 8.
The program is in cooperation with St. Olaf and three colleges in Stavanger, Telemark and Hedmark in Norway. In the summer of odd years Norwegian students come to St. Olaf to study Health Care in America, and in January of even years, Glazebrook takes students to study Health Care in Norway. The program was developed with the help of a Nygaard Grant in 2000 and is a unique arrangement for the colleges.
