I got my bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology from St. Olaf College and after waiting tables and taking some classes at the University of Minnesota, I went off to earn my masters degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. I worked as a house mother in a sorority and then as a residence hall director before earning my doctorate degree in Policy, Planning and Leadership from the University of Iowa. My purpose in my job is to work daily to support our students in becoming wise adults. I am the mother of two college men and I have a devoted lap dog (George) who enjoys coming to campus to get loved up by Oles. In my free time, I enjoy paddleboarding, downhill skiing, snowshoeing and spending time with friends and family (who are ideally paddling, skiing, and snowshoeing with me).
