ReUSE Minnesota at the STATE FAIR- daily demonstrations on repair and reuse topics

by Alicia Wold

Going to the MN State Fair?   August 21-- September 1

Stop by the ReUSE Minnesota exhibit in the Eco-Experience building!   This year's setting is a hobby / craft space and features daily demonstrations on various repair and reuse topics.  We all know that theater involves a LOT of finding, fixing, and re-imagining items. Members of the Sustainable Theaters of Minnesota Conclave   (find it on facebook) will be providing demos on 4 fair days.  Ursula Bowden will kick off the fair celebrating Thrifty Thursday with great prop finds and fixes.  Then she will close the fair on September 1 (Kid's Day) with Kid's room hacks!    Sean McArdle will demonstrate a variety of repairs on each Sunday of the fair.   Demonstrations are at 10-11:30; 1-2:30; 3:30-5; 6:30-8 each day.

Then head over to the Sustainability Stage for additional speakers / topics and make note of the lighting supplied by your NBS Chair and JTH Lighting!
